This listing is for a RARE Leica D.R.P. Ernst Leitz Wetzlar camera. I am selling this for repair.
This is an original Leica. I did the research and this is a true Leica camera, not one of those knock-offs out there.
It has a couple of issues (See below) but I know there are some magicians out there who can fix this.
The black vulcanized material surrounding the camera body (photo 10) has a split to it near the lens mount but still holding to the camera fine unless you peel it back or force it somehow, which I will not do.
The bottom metal base also does not clamp or sit quite right or screw onto the bottom of the camera. Might be a bent screw. Not sure.
The lens is nice and clear. No ugly fungus or fog.
Brand of the camera is Leica.
Model is D.R.P. Ernst Leitz Wetzlar.
This has a Canon Co. Serenar f/1.9 50mm lens currently on it (with Canon lens cap) that I believe dates to the late 1940's. The lens is telescopic like and goes in and out properly. Very nice lens.
I also have the Seiki Kogaku Serenar f1.4 lens with the Rangefinder listed separately in my store on eBay while it lasts. It has the screw on mount and fits this Leica perfectly.
The original Leica case is also included. It is a brown colored hard shell case that is in pretty nice condition. Some minor scrapes to the leather. The metal screw shows a little age but does turn easily. It has Leica embossed on it as well as E.Leitz Wetzlar Germany.
