R-8 Collet Adaptors enable you to use any common Bridgeport shank tooling in a CAT40 or CAT50 CNC mill or any other mill or drill press that will accept 1.25 diameter tool shanks. End mill holders are cheap to purchase, if you could use one for any size drill, endmill, jacobs chuck, facemill, morse taper sleave, ect. , Why NOT!
These adaptors are made of 8620 material heat treated to 50/55 Rc, and precision ground, inside and out, TIR .0002" , then black oxided, and oiled for corrosion protection. It's a great way to use bridgeport tooling, or any other tooling that has an integrated R-8 shank in other equipment.
Very easily set up with a 7/16-20 SHCS (included) and a washer.
We made some up for our shop and have been using them for over a decade. We made up quite a few expecting them to wear out and need replacement, but they've lasted well over 10 years now with no troubles. We are offering a few extras here on ebay, but when they're gone, they're gone. Special pricing too!
