his auction is for a great vintage, if not antique Southwest and perhaps Native American blanket  ~ perfect for the collector or lover of vintage textiles.  This and other items we now have listed have been purchased at the recent rural Kansas estate auction. This listing:
1 large blanket ~ also known as serape, saltillo, rug and more
features vibrant woven design in shades of cream and green on a burgundy red ground
great geometric and Greek key designs
the ends are finished with heavy cotton string and knotted at the ends
I believe that this piece is wool
no moth nibbles noted
the only flaw I noticed was a light fading to the area where it has been exposed over the years ~ can be seen in full photo and is only one one side ~ very faint fading
I have not cleaned in any way ~ farm fresh some dust due to years of storage noted
it measures  45 inches by 80 inches plus fringe that is right at 6 inches in length

I am guessing that this piece dates to the 1940s
no odors noted
no tags ~ hand made
