Description

This Belt and Buckle are no less than 120+ Years Old and come from the Kingdom of Prussia. The belt and ( M1895 ) buckle are in amazing condition. Copper buckles are quite rare. Germany was unified under the King of Prussia who was elected German Emperor at Versailles. He held the dual role of King of Prussia as well as German Emperor. Copper belt buckles are quire rare and were replaced by Brass to save money as brass is a copper alloy. The Buckle has a slight dent in the lower crown. The belt measures approximately 36” long.
For some unknown reason older belts and Buckles were used by the German 8th Army on the Eastern Front in the Great War. When Russia bowed out in 1917, several units were transferred to the Western Front where they finished the war. If this belt could speak it would have an incredible story to tell.
