    Description

Early Great War complete souvenir/hate belt that has one Prussian uniform button attached. This type of belt typically displays uniform buttons from enemies or allies but sometimes coins as well. The leather is complete and in remarkable shape for an item in excess of 100 years old. This belt found was not dyed black, over the brown to conform with mid-war uniform regulations. The belt is approximately 37" long. The brass buckle ( M1895 )and belt are Prussian which was the largest of the four kingdoms that composed the German Empire. If this belt could speak it would have an incredible story to tell. There is one Prussian Uniform Button remaining on the belt which indicates this was turned into a souvenir/hate belt in WW 1.
