Description

Extremely Rare to find a late war large and thick belt marked 105 and measuring 41” to accommodate a waist 36-39”. This complete Prussian enlisted man's buckle with original & supple makers marked and dated 1917 belt that the surface was dyed black to conform with mid-war regulations. The Maker was in Goppingen which is South of Stuttgart. The leather is complete and in remarkable shape for an item in excess of 103 years old. If this belt could speak it would have an incredible story to tell. The buckle is NOT DENTED on the crown which is uncommon for an item of this age. The German Empire was composed of four Kingdoms, Prussia, Bavaria, Wurttemberg & Saxony in that order. This belt is a pre-war example from the Kingdom of Bavaria. Multiple purchases can be combined for postage savings.
I currently have a similar belt that WAS NOT dyed black to meet mid-war regulations, listed separately.
