Imperial German, WW 1, Enlisted Man's Belt & M1895 Buckle, Kingdom of Prussia

Description

This Buckle is from the Kingdom of Prussia and is a brass ( M1895 ) pre-war enlisted man's item. The belt was dyed black to conform to the mid-war regulation. The back of the belt clasp hook is stamped DRGM with the number for the item from the German Copyright Office. Imperial Germany was composed of four kingdoms; Prussia, Bavaria, Saxony & Wurttemberg along with several Grand Duchies, Duchies and Principalities all of which contributed manpower to the war with several distinctive uniform items. The belt measures approximately 37" long. This is a great collectors piece of history. Multiple item purchases can be combined for savings in postage.
