Antique VTG Besson & Co Class A Prototype E-Flat Horn W Mouthpiece Case England. Includes original e-flat horn (appears to be similar to a Coronet, unsure of exact instrument type), original mouthpiece, and hand crafted wooden case from the same era! This instrument could be as old as the turn of the century, or just a bit later, definitely shows its age with heavy patina and character! Class A, Medals of Honour, made by Besson & Co in London England. "Prototype" edition, approx. 21" in total length, horns opening end is approx. 7" in diameter. This piece was an estate find from Northern Illinois, has not been polished, cleaned, or serviced, seems to still function and sounds alright, push buttons will need oiled. Many small and large dents, dings, scuffs and scrapes, and heavy patina, but is still breathtaking and surely has many historical stories and tunes throughout its past! Wooden case is approx. 23" x 8" x 9" and fits the instrument perfectly, has eye hooks for locking and a nice metal handle for easy carrying!
